# 2026-02-04 — PHAT Foods Deck Consolidation Day

## MAJOR WORK: PHAT Foods Brand Strategy Deck Review

### What We Did
- Full slide-by-slide review of designed PDF (18 pages) against sharpened materials
- Created corrections for Basic Facts section (pages 4-12)
- Created Strategic Core section (Positioning, Pillars, Tone) — 17 slides
- Identified critical bugs in PDF: page 11 wrong section divider, page 12 duplicate text
- Competitive landscape update: Nourish launched **Creamilux®** (short-chain lipid emulsifier)
- Yali Bio pivoted fully to alt-dairy (not infant nutrition anymore)

### Key Corrections Made
**Basic Facts (pages 4-12):**
- Page 5: "meat consumers" → "plant-based consumers" (was meat stat in dairy deck)
- Page 6: 3.3% → ~3% (Circana source), flagged UK data (AHDB)
- Page 7: "didn't like it" → "didn't come back" (stronger B2B framing)
- Page 9: "Nobody closed it" → "Nobody had closed it" (past tense implies PHAT now has)
- Page 11: "The basic facts" → "Industry Landscape" (wrong section divider)
- Page 12: Replace duplicate "three forces" text with competitive gap table

### Files Created/Updated
- `/projects/phat-foods/basic-facts-v3-corrections.md` — full page-by-page corrections
- `/projects/phat-foods/strategic-core-slides.md` — 17 slides of positioning, pillars, tone

### Strategic Core Content (ready for design)
**Positioning:**
- 10-word: "The first dairy-identical fat. No cow required."
- Manifesto closer: "The age of approximation is over. The age of replication has begun."

**Competitive Killers (9 competitors):**
- Savor: "They make fat from a chemical plant. We grow it."
- Yali Bio: "They say 'synthetic biology' and hope no one flinches. We say 'algae' and watch them lean in."
- Melt&Marble: "They engineer fats that look like dairy. We make the short-chains that taste like it."
- Nourish: "They're solving for flavor. We're solving for fat."
- Perfect Day: "They cracked the protein. We cracked the fat."

**Brand Pillars (sharpened):**
1. "Fat, Dialed In" — Molecular precision
2. "Grown, Not Made" — Natural biology
3. "Your Lab Coat, Our Lipids" — B2B partnership
4. "Receipts, Not Claims" — Sustainability (needs LCA data from Ofir)

### Process Issues Encountered
- API 500 errors crashed multiple agent sessions (Anton, Ogilvy, Erica)
- Sub-agent spawning from within Erica's session didn't work (tried shell commands instead of sessions_spawn)
- Figma work crashed — need to rebuild consolidated deck
- Pipeline discipline: Erica did work herself instead of routing through team — called out and attempted re-run

### Outstanding
- [ ] Full deck consolidation into Notion (in progress)
- [ ] Pillar 4 needs LCA data from Ofir
- [ ] Nourish Creamilux competitive positioning needs client discussion
- [ ] Naming section (GILD/Verum/Proof) not yet integrated

### Key Dates
- Feb 7: Naming direction workshop with Ofir
- Feb 19: Strategy presentation to client
- Feb 24: Final brand guidelines delivery

### Discord Threads Created

*Assaf's preference: Proper process through the team (Erica coordinates, Ogilvy writes, Anton reviews). Don't skip the kitchen.*
