# Brandwatch v2 — Full Team Critique
**Date:** 2026-03-10
**Status:** URGENT — Assaf flagged wrong-audience problem

---

## THE CORE PROBLEM

**Assaf said:** "This page looks like a pitch FOR Brandwatch. We are supposed to sell TO Brandwatch."

He's right. The entire page is written as if the reader is a **Brandwatch customer** (a marketer at some brand who uses BW's tools). Every headline, every FAQ, every CTA addresses someone who "invested in Brandwatch" and needs help "getting value from it."

**The actual audience:** Brandwatch LEADERSHIP — VP Marketing, C-suite, partnerships team. People who would partner with CE to offer activation services to THEIR clients.

**The reframe:** "Partner with us → your clients get a complete data-to-campaign pipeline → you increase retention and revenue."

---

## SECTION-BY-SECTION BREAKDOWN

### 1. HERO

**Current copy:**
> "You've invested in Brandwatch. We make that investment perform."
> "Brandwatch gives you the data. We turn it into finished campaigns..."

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Brandwatch's END CLIENTS. "You've invested in Brandwatch" = someone who bought a BW license.
- **Problem:** Every word addresses someone who uses BW as a tool. BW leadership knows what their product does — telling them "Brandwatch gives you the data" is patronizing.
- **Rewrite:** Flip to BW's business problem. Their clients have data but can't act on it. CE closes that gap. The pitch: "Your clients' biggest gap is activation. We close it."

**ANTON (Critic): Grade F**
- "You've invested in Brandwatch" — talking to a BW customer, not BW leadership
- "Brandwatch gives you the data" — describing BW's product TO someone, not pitching to BW
- "We turn it into finished campaigns" — sounds like we're an agency for BW's clients, not a partner for BW
- The entire hero frames CE as a service ON TOP of Brandwatch, not as a partner WITH Brandwatch

**JESSICA (Art Direction):**
- Badge "Brandwatch Partner" is fine but should be CE proposing partnership, not claiming it
- Hero CTA "Book Strategy Call" is right for BW leadership

---

### 2. OPERATORS

**Current copy:**
> "The Operators — Who's behind this"
> Assaf: "Presidential campaigns, Fortune 500 repositions..."
> Lukas: "Sold Brandwatch to enterprise clients across DACH..."

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Mostly neutral/okay. Lukas's bio establishes BW credibility — good for BW leadership.
- **Problem:** "Who's behind this" is vague. BW leadership needs to know WHY these two are the right partners for THEIR business.
- **Rewrite:** Frame as "why we're the right partner for Brandwatch specifically" — Lukas's inside knowledge + Assaf's creative/strategy = the exact combination BW needs.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade B-**
- Lukas's bio is the strongest section for BW leadership audience — keep and strengthen
- Assaf's bio is generic — doesn't speak to what BW gains from his background
- "Now building AI-powered creative production" is good — shows capability
- Missing: explicit connection to BW's business model / revenue opportunity

---

### 3. CALLOUT

**Current copy:**
> "Not a demo. Not a prototype. A production system that ships real work."

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Generic — could be anyone.
- **Problem:** Doesn't advance the BW partnership pitch. What does "real work" mean to BW leadership?
- **Rewrite:** Make it about the partnership value: what CE's system means for BW's business.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade C-**
- Not offensive but wastes prime real estate
- BW leadership doesn't care about demo vs prototype — they care about revenue, retention, competitive advantage

---

### 4. PROBLEM

**Current copy:**
> "Are you getting enough value from your Brandwatch investment?"
> "Social data without strategic action is just expensive reporting."

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Brandwatch's END CLIENTS. 100%. "Your Brandwatch investment" = someone who bought BW.
- **Problem:** This is literally insulting to BW leadership — it implies their product is "expensive reporting" without CE. You're telling the BW VP of Marketing that their tool is useless on its own.
- **Rewrite:** Frame the problem from BW's perspective: "Your clients need more than data — they need activation. That's revenue you're leaving on the table."

**ANTON (Critic): Grade F**
- "Are you getting enough value from your Brandwatch investment?" — DIRECTLY addresses BW customers
- "Social data without strategic action is just expensive reporting" — INSULTS BW's product to BW's own leadership
- This section must be completely reframed or cut

---

### 5. HOW WE COMPLETE EACH OTHER

**Current copy:**
> "Brandwatch owns the intelligence. We own the activation."
> Two-column: Brandwatch delivers / CE delivers

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Mixed. The headline tries to speak to BW but the content describes BW's features (social listening, audience intelligence) AS IF the reader doesn't know them.
- **Problem:** The "Brandwatch delivers" column describes BW's own product back to them. They KNOW what they deliver. 4 items listing their features is filler. The CE column is better — it shows what we bring — but it describes deliverables for BW's clients, not value for BW itself.
- **Rewrite:** Cut or drastically simplify the BW column. Focus the CE column on what BW's business GAINS: client retention, upsell opportunity, competitive differentiation.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade D+**
- "Social Listening — Real-time mentions, sentiment, and conversations across 100M+ sources" — DESCRIBING BW'S PRODUCT TO BW. They know.
- "Audience Intelligence — Demographics, interests, segments..." — Same. Filler.
- The CE side is okay but describes deliverables to clients, not value to BW
- The "ownership bar" (Data & Distribution / Strategy & Production) is the closest thing to right on this page
- Missing: revenue model, client satisfaction metrics, competitive landscape

---

### 6. TEAM (AI Agents)

**Current copy:**
> "Eight specialists. One coordinated system."
> Grid of AI agent cards

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Neutral/generic — shows CE's capability.
- **Problem:** BW leadership cares about throughput, quality, scalability — not cute names for AI agents. "The Poet," "The Eye" means nothing to a VP of Marketing evaluating a partnership.
- **Rewrite:** Frame as operational capacity — "Here's the production engine your clients get access to." Show SCALE and SPEED, not personality.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade C**
- Not wrong-audience, but not optimized for BW leadership
- The agent names/descriptions are internally charming but externally meaningless
- BW leadership wants to know: how fast, how many markets, what quality

---

### 7. WORK (Portfolio)

**Current copy:**
> "This is what it looks like"
> Figma embed

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Neutral — portfolio speaks for itself.
- **Problem:** The header "This is what it looks like" is weak. BW leadership needs to see that this is what THEIR CLIENTS would receive.
- **Rewrite:** "What your clients receive" — make it explicit this is the output of the partnership.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade B-**
- Portfolio embed is fine
- Header needs to connect to partnership value
- Should explicitly say these are client deliverables produced through the BW+CE pipeline

---

### 8. FAQ

**Current copy:**
> "Do I need Brandwatch already set up?"
> "What markets can you handle?"
> "How is this different from other agencies?"
> "What's the engagement model?" ($50-150K)
> "What if the campaigns don't perform?"

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Brandwatch's END CLIENTS. Every single question.
- **Problem:** "Do I need Brandwatch already set up?" is a BW customer question. "How is this different from other agencies?" is a BW customer question. "$50-150K per project" is pricing for BW's clients, not a partnership model. BW leadership doesn't ask "what if the campaigns don't perform" — they ask "what's the revenue model" and "how does this integrate with our sales motion."
- **Rewrite:** Entirely new FAQ for BW leadership:
  - How does the partnership model work?
  - How do you integrate with our existing client success teams?
  - What's the revenue opportunity for Brandwatch?
  - How fast can you onboard a new client?
  - What does the client experience look like?

**ANTON (Critic): Grade F**
- Every FAQ is wrong-audience
- The pricing reveals client-facing rates to a potential partner — bad negotiation
- "Do I need Brandwatch already set up?" is the clearest proof this page targets BW's clients

---

### 9. CTA

**Current copy:**
> "Ready to make Brandwatch actually deliver?"
> "Tell us your markets and your current Brandwatch setup."

**OGILVY (Copy):**
- **Who it talks to:** Brandwatch's END CLIENTS.
- **Problem:** "Ready to make Brandwatch actually deliver?" is INSULTING to BW leadership. You're telling them their product doesn't deliver. "Tell us your markets and your current Brandwatch setup" asks questions only a BW user would answer.
- **Rewrite:** "Let's build this together" — partnership language, not service language.

**ANTON (Critic): Grade F**
- "Ready to make Brandwatch actually deliver?" — offensive to BW leadership
- Entire CTA addresses BW clients
- Should be partnership-oriented: explore the model, discuss integration, pilot program

---

## JESSICA (Art Direction) — OVERALL VISUAL ASSESSMENT

1. **Visual hierarchy mostly works** — clean, editorial, proper spacing. The Larken/Inter/JetBrains Mono system is correct.
2. **The "Brandwatch delivers" column gets equal visual weight to CE** — wrong. BW leadership doesn't need to see their own product described. CE's value should dominate.
3. **The two-column complement section** should be replaced with a single-column CE value proposition. If we keep any BW reference, it should be minimal (one line, not four detailed items).
4. **The blue (#3b82f6) for Brandwatch** introduces an off-brand color. Fine for a small accent but it's competing with CE red.
5. **Team grid** is visually fine but takes significant real estate for content that doesn't serve BW leadership.
6. **Overall:** Reduce BW feature descriptions, increase CE value propositions, add a partnership/revenue section.

## GERRI (PM) — PRIORITY ACTION LIST

### P0 — DO IMMEDIATELY (Wrong audience = wrong page)
1. **Rewrite Hero** — From "you invested in BW" to "your clients need activation, we deliver it"
2. **Rewrite Problem** — From "are you getting value?" to "your clients' activation gap is your revenue opportunity"
3. **Rewrite CTA** — From "make BW deliver" to "let's build this partnership"
4. **Rewrite FAQ entirely** — All questions wrong-audience. Replace with BW leadership questions.
5. **Kill or reframe "Brandwatch delivers" column** — Stop describing their own product to them.

### P1 — IMPORTANT
6. **Rewrite Callout** — Make it about partnership value, not generic production claims
7. **Reframe Work section header** — "What your clients receive" not "what it looks like"
8. **Strengthen Operators bios** — Connect to BW partnership value specifically
9. **Add partnership model section** — Revenue share, integration, pilot structure

### P2 — NICE TO HAVE
10. **Simplify Team section** — Focus on throughput/scale, not agent personalities
11. **Add a "Why partner with CE" section** — Competitive differentiation for BW's product

### CUT ENTIRELY
- The entire "Brandwatch delivers" column in the complement section (4 items describing BW's features)
- All FAQ questions (replace with new ones)
- "Are you getting enough value from your Brandwatch investment?" (insulting)
- "Ready to make Brandwatch actually deliver?" (insulting)
